Spring Fayre Success at Cygnet Hospital Maidstone
The creative talents of patients at Cygnet Hospital Maidstone were on full display this season during their Spring Fayre, raising over £200 for a local charity.
Patients participating in the hospital’s Art and Wellbeing programme, guided by colleagues Kes and Jacqui, created a selection of handcrafted items available for purchase, bringing together patients, staff and carers.
The fayre raised an impressive £208, all of which has been donated to local charity ‘Handmade with Love’. Sally, the chairperson of the charity, attended the event and was really thankful for the generous contribution. She was particularly impressed by the exceptional quality of the patients’ handcrafted creations.
‘Handmade with Love’, part of the Making Miracles organisation, helps raise money to provide counselling for families coping with birth trauma and bereavement.
