Personalised mural brings joy to Longfield House
A new mural has transformed the hallway of one of the flats at Longfield House, creating a personalised and calming space for an individual we support.
The thoughtfully designed artwork features a collection of beloved characters carefully chosen to reflect the individual’s personal favourites, including Where’s Wally, the Cat in the Hat, the Very Hungry Caterpillar, Elmer the Elephant, Bart Simpson, and Peter Rabbit.
Created by local artist Alexandra Lea Elstone, she used a carefully considered muted colour palette throughout the mural to create a soothing atmosphere whilst reducing potential overstimulation. The subtle colours allow the familiar characters to provide comfort and joy without overwhelming the living space.
