Old Leigh House visit to Ely Cathedral

Residents from Old Leigh House recently enjoyed a visit to Ely Cathedral.

After an early start for the long drive to Cambridgeshire, everyone stopped for a nice lunch along the way.

The group first caught sight of the outstanding architecture of the Cathedral from the banks of the Great Ouse. This incredible structure was completed in 1342 and is considered to be the jewel in the Cathedral crown.

Everyone enjoyed a lovely day, wandering through the lush gardens, and learning about the history of The Fens and the surrounding area. After a relaxing stroll up Ely High Street, the group stopped off for a refreshing cold drink and then set off on their journey home.
