Norwich trip for Old Leigh Residents
The residents at Old Leigh House in Leigh-on-Sea recently had a wonderful day when they visited Norwich on a day trip.
First up was a stroll through Eaton Park, which in late summer, was impressive with its formally laid-out gardens and abundant greenery. It was here the group stopped for a delicious picnic lunch next to sparkling ponds and grand colonnaded walkways. They then paid a visit to the ancient and very well-known Norwich Cathedral. Here, the residents had an opportunity to admire the interior design and architecture of this outstanding, grand old building, light a candle or two and browse through the various exhibitions.
Once outside again, the group had a sunny amble along the banks and over the bridges of the stunning River Wensum. The trip to Norwich was a winner – an enriching and fun day had by all!
