Hollyhurst explores Blackpool Zoo
Hollyhurst recently took a day trip to Blackpool Zoo where they enjoyed seeing a variety of animals.
Fourteen residents set off with staff at 9am, travelling from Darlington to Blackpool.
They had their picnic in the carpark together before going in to see the animals. They then split off into a few groups to explore the zoo, seeing monkeys, penguins and even a lion. The baby elephant was the favourite of the day!
Activity Coordinator Claire Hague said:” One resident, Andrew ,had never been as far as Blackpool and said he had the best day and our newest arrival Adam loved spending time with his new peers. Overall we had a good time – a successful day out was had by all and we can’t wait for next year!”
