Ellen Mhor service users enjoy lambing experience
The day kicked off with a warm welcome from the farm team, who gave the group a fascinating tour around the facilities at the farm. They learned all about the lambing season and how critical the early weeks are for the newborn lambs.
The highlight of the day was, without a doubt, getting up close and personal with the fluffy new arrivals at the farm. Everyone’s faces lit up as they met the lambs and they then got the chance to feed them from a bottle.
The experience was not only educational but also incredibly heartwarming, offering a unique glimpse into farm life during this this important season. Overall, the trip to Rings Farm was a great day out that left everyone with wonderful memories.
A service user later told everyone back at Ellen Mhor:
“I got to feed the lamb and he got milk all over my shoe. The lambs liked playing with me.”
