Cygnet Views celebrate South Asian Heritage Month
Cygnet Views have this week been celebrating South Asian Heritage Month. Staff and service users had a shopping trip to purchase Asian foods and materials for the celebration, which was a great way for service users to experience the diversity of Asian culture and cuisine and be engaged in the preparations for the party!
Yesterday, the unit was decorated in colourful, Asian themed decorations and the staff and service users had a colourful dress code. The festivities included an Asian buffet, henna, face painting, saree draping, lantern making and a ‘guess the South Asian flag’ quiz. It was an amazing day that celebrated the diversity of South Asian culture!
