Cygnet St William’s Hosts Third Annual ‘GlastHOMEbury’ Festival for Service Users
Designed to mirror the iconic Glastonbury experience, the event saw service users enjoy a day in the garden listening to classic and contemporary Glastonbury sets. The atmosphere was filled with laughter and music, as the team created a vibrant, inclusive space that celebrated wellbeing, creativity, and community.
Festival-inspired activities included cup pong, Guitar Hero, garden games, and a colourful array of fake and glitter tattoos. The garden was decorated with festive bunting and gazebos.
Georgia Nelson, Regional Lead Occupational Therapist at Cygnet Health Care, said: “The atmosphere was vibrant and filled with laughter, as music was played throughout the garden and everyone enjoyed the variety of activities.
“The colourful decorations and lively chatter created a festival-like vibe, making it feel like a mini Glastonbury right at home. Despite the gusty winds, the spirit of the event remained joyous and energetic, with everyone soaking up the festive ambiance.”
Cygnet St William’s provides specialist care and treatment for individuals affected by acquired brain injuries.
“Events like GlastHOMEbury play a vital role in promoting positive mental health, social connection, and meaningful engagement for the people supported by the service,” added Georgia.
