Cygnet St William’s bake off for cancer charity
Individuals supported at the service worked hard to prepare their own sweet treats to sell to their fellow service users and staff, before taking part in a raffle.
Georgia Nelson, Regional Lead Occupational Therapist at Cygnet St William’s said: “Our staff and service users worked hard to pull off a lovely fundraiser for Macmillan. We fundraise for the charity ever year as it is a really vital charity who directly fund practical and emotional support for people affected by cancer.
“The whole team is thrilled that we raised such an impressive amount. It’s a fantastic achievement that really reflects the kindness and spirit of our little, yet amazing, service.
“Our service users played a huge part in the day and it was beneficial for them as it gave them a sense of community. It was an opportunity for education, participation and collaboration all whilst making a difference and giving back to a great charity.”
