Cygnet Hospital Bierley’s Farmers Market

The team at Cygnet Hospital Bierley recently hosted an autumn themed Farmers Market. A co-produced event, service users made toffee apples, chocolate apples, sweets and hand carved some of the many pumpkins they had picked in the previous weeks. The day was enjoyed by all and provided service users and staff a positive experience with lots of extra special touches.

Michelle O’Neill, the hospital’s Compliance and Improvement Manager, said: “The aim of the farmers market was to provide a sense of achievement for service users who have worked hard making items and contributing to the day. It was amazing to see service users faces when they when they walked into the room to see their efforts. It was hard to believe once decorated that the room is in fact our conference room. Our aim is to continue to promote events and positive experiences in co-production with service users.”
