Cygnet Bury Hudson hosts successful Macmillan Cancer Fundraiser
The event saw a remarkable turnout, with service users showcasing their baking and decorating talents. Cakes and pastries prepared by patients were enjoyed by all, making the fundraiser both heart-warming and inspiring. In total the event raised over £150.
Elizabeth Makinde, Activity Coordinator on East Hampton, shared: “All the activity coordinators in Hudson worked together as a team and made it a memorable one. The staff and patient turnout was outstanding and we were able to see more of our service user’s baking and decorating skills. Also a big thank you to Recovery College for their continuous support. We also appreciate everyone for their attendance and generous donations towards the Macmillan event.”
Opeoluwa Aluko, Activity Coordinator on West Hampton, added: “The Macmillan event was a success, we had staff, colleagues and patients come around to support the event. A lot of donations were put in. For the preparation of the event, we had patients bake cakes, and pastries. It was lovely to see how everyone could contribute to the awareness of breast cancer.”
The fundraiser not only raised vital donations for Macmillan Cancer Support but also highlighted the importance of teamwork, compassion, and creativity in raising awareness for such a meaningful cause.
