Creative activities at Thistle House
Thistle House have been keeping themselves busy in creative ways so far in 2022. The activity co-ordinator talked with residents and they picked out a few celebration days to make decorations for. The choices were Burns’ Night and Lunar New year… and some bonus art too!
For Burns Night, residents helped pick out some appropriate pictures to colour, and also had a go at making their own tartan.
For Lunar New Year, it is Year of the Tiger, they found some tiger themed crafts, and some lucky dragons. They also used smaller versions of the big tiger in the picture to make a Lunar New Year version of the game Beetle, which has been a big hit.
For a pop of colour, some residents completed some dotty art pictures, which aside from being a nice, relaxing activity, make for some very funky animals on the wall!
