Celebrating Pride at Cygnet Views’ Funfair-Themed Party
Service users worked closely with the activities team to choose this year’s exciting funfair theme, ensuring the celebration reflected what mattered most to them.
The unit and gardens came alive with bright balloons and colourful banners, whilst educational Pride fact cards were placed throughout the space to encourage learning and conversation.
The day featured something for everyone:
- Creative corner: Plate painting for artistic expression
- Pamper station: Glitter, face painting and nail treatments
- Memory making: Professional photo station
- Take-home treats: Gift bag station
- Traditional funfair games: Hook a duck, hoopla, and bean bag toss
The celebration concluded with a delicious buffet prepared by our wonderful kitchen team, followed by a special visit from ‘Ooh La La’, a local ice cream van that added an extra touch of funfair magic.
The event perfectly captured the spirit of Pride – celebrating diversity, inclusion, and the importance of being authentically yourself. It was wonderful to see the community come together for such a meaningful and joyful day.
