Celebrating nurses at Cygnet Hospital Maidstone
Cygnet Hospital Maidstone celebrated International Nurses Day with some treats and gifts across the site before the big announcement of the 2026 Cygnet Maidstone Award winners.
Nurse of the Year winners were: Cody McClung, Saltwood Ward; Benedicta Nwafor, Kingwood Ward; Cleo Burnett, Bearsted Ward and Blessing Akinfusi, Roseacre Ward.
Support Worker of the Year winners were: Thuto Nare, Saltwood Ward; Gabbi Cleaves, Kingwood Ward; Udodirim Ochai, Bearsted Ward and Belynda Enderby, Roseacre Ward.
Hospital Manager Laurie Burleton said: “Today and every day, I am extremely grateful for the expertise, compassion, and resilience our Nurses and Support Workers bring to our wards. I am constantly inspired by their clinical skills, dedication, and the way they support one another through even the toughest shifts.”
