Celebrating International Women’s Day 2023
Today is International Women’s Day and the team at our head office in London celebrated by wearing purple or pink. Our new Women’s Network also held their first educational event, an online Menopause Masterclass with guest speaker Dr Clare Gerada. Clare gave a talk on what the menopause is as well as historical perceptions of the menopause and how that is changing. She also took time to do a Q&A session with attendees.
Some of the team also visited the nearby memorial to Emmeline Pankhurst in Victoria Tower Gardens. Emmeline Pankhurst was a political activist who organised the UK suffragette movement and played a key role in helping women win the right to vote.
