Celebrating Black History Month at Cygnet Heathers
The team took turns in presenting a talk and display for staff over lunch and the service users were involved in making themed art, a quiz and enjoying food.
The MCN Ambassadors looked at the following pioneers: Baroness Valarie Amos, Malcom X, Kofi Annan, Archbishop Desmond Tutu.
Receptionist Pauline Blair-Manuel said: “All of the staff enjoyed listening to the afternoon presentations while having their lunch. We had great feedback about what they learnt and we plan to celebrate the end of Black History Month with food and music.
“I would like to thank all of the Ambassadors for their great presentations, all of staff who supported the team and our cooks Carol Williams and Suzanne Griffiths.”
