Bringing nature indoors at Fairways
Well done to the residents and staff at Fairways who were awarded first prize in the south region of the Cygnet Social Care Interior Design Competition.
For their entry in the competition they came up with the idea of bring nature indoors. Service Manager Suman Dewan explains: “Our residents love nature so we decided to bring Summer and Autumn indoors. We built tree trunks using Styrofoam, masking tape, expanding foam, spray paint. After it dried we moved the tree trunk indoor, purchased some items online, we got the staff and residents involved in completing the decoration.
“Our residents were excited in helping and completing the project. They have already started enjoying it. We can see the happiness in their face and how excited they are.”
