Beeches celebrate Africa Day
Ridwan Ayangbayi, the Multicultural Network Lead at Beeches, helped organise the celebrations.
He said: “It was a day to celebrate the diversity of our staff at Beeches. It was lovely to see our staff come adorned in beautiful and coloured fabrics, which signified their ethnicity. We had decorations and banners with some amazing facts and information around the workplace. Fun activities for staff and residents including colouring African flags and naming animals native to the African continent.
“Some of the staff prepared different dishes. It was very lovely to taste the dishes put together, especially the jollof rice and puff-puff which staff and residents alike enjoyed. We all ended the afternoon with a party. The music was amazing and everyone was able to learn interesting facts about the African continent. This is saying a very big thank you to everyone for making the celebration a huge success and the day, truly colourful and special. Thank you to all involved.”
