Cygnet Hospital Colchester shows Racism the Red Card
Last Friday was Show Racism the Red Card’s Wear Red Day. The team at Cygnet Hospital Colchester supported the day by staff going to work wearing red.
Lynn McGhee, Hospital Manager, said: “Staff made pledges to show how they were supporting the event. Racism is something that many of our staff face, often in the workplace. By wearing red on the day, it generated conversations with colleagues and service users, as everyone was interested to know the reason we were in red. It also demonstrated our support for each other against this type of abuse. We had some fun with it too!”
