Cygnet Delfryn occupational therapists present at school careers event
Members of Cygnet Delfryn’s Occupational Therapy (OT) team recently attended a local high school careers event to speak with Year 11 and 6th form students about Occupational Therapy as a career and the involvement the OT department has across Cygnet sites. The talk was well received by the students, teachers and careers advisors. One of the students said they felt “so much better knowing that there are options such as apprenticeships and assistant opportunities”, another said, “I feel it has sparked an interest in a career I never knew existed”.
The aim is to continue to liaise with the local community to increase awareness and promote the Occupational Therapy role and how life enhancing it can be to receive the support from an Occupational Therapist.
