Charity Bake Off at Cygnet Joyce Parker Hospital
The young people on Mermaid ward at Cygnet Joyce Parker recently decided that they wanted to raise money for MIND, to support other people who were experiencing mental health difficulties.
They arranged a charity bake-off and encouraged all service users across the hospital to enter. The resulting bake-off was held last week and there were lots of entries from across the service. Everyone was very excited to be able to create a masterpiece and the judging panel made a decision as to who won. The eventual winner was a young person on Dragon Ward who won with a cupcake surprise. All of the cakes were sold at the end of the day and the money was donated to MIND.
