The service provides a safe and stabilising environment for individuals experiencing an acute episode of mental illness and who require an emergency admission.
Our comprehensive psychoeducation program empowers men to better understand their diagnoses while developing the practical skills necessary for life beyond the ward.
We provide a structured pathway to independence through skills workshops, therapeutic groups and personalised care.
The hospital sits on more than three acres of grounds, which are quiet and private.

At Phoenix Ward, we support men aged over 18 who:
- Are detained under the Mental Health Act or informal
- May have diagnoses including mental illness, personality disorder, psychosis, bi-polar disorder and / or schizophrenia
- May have complex needs including self-harm or substance misuse
