Cygnet Views supporting Footprints Conductive Education Centre
The charity is used by one of the team at Cygnet Views; whose son has Down Syndrome and has been supported by Footprints for over a year. During this time, he has met lots of developmental milestones, made friends, and his Mums have had the opportunity to network with other families with similar needs, and overall, Footprints have given them hope!
The support Footprints provide to local families and children is only possible due to the generosity of fundraising – therefore, Cygnet Views have nominated them as their ‘Charity of the Year’!
To kick-start the fundraising efforts; Cygnet Views held a Christmas Raffle and last week had a non-uniform days with a themed blue and yellow dress code, as blue and yellow are the designated colours for Down Syndrome Awareness. So far, the team have raised over £145.
This is the start of the service’s year-long fundraising efforts throughout 2024, during which they have lots of exciting fundraising events planned; including the team’s biggest challenge yet – the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge which Team Views are taking on in September alongside Cygnet colleagues, friends and family!
Information about future fundraising activities, along with a link to a JustGiving page, will be shared in the near future.Return to Galleries
