Cygnet Storthfield House’s Pride Day
The team at Cygnet Storthfield House pride themselves on respect and inclusion for service users and staff. To celebrate and mark Pride Month, Therapy Coordinators Helene Ching and Rebecca Fisher created a day of colourful celebration.
Along with this, the service users gained knowledge about the LGBTQi+ community. During the day service users and staff could read about the progression of the LGBTQi+ community flags and information on different sexual orientations.
Posters displayed within the unit also offered advice around how to support members of the LGBTQi+ community, sparking lots of engaging conversations.
All were treated to a colourful lunch including fruit platters, vegetable and chicken skewers, rainbow cake and other Pride-inspired foods. And the afternoon was filled with music, singing and dancing.
