Cygnet Manor fundraise for Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal
At Cygnet Manor individuals and staff have been working hard to support the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal by selling poppy-related items at a venue in the local community to raise money for the charity.
Simon Bullars, Therapy Co-Ordinator, reflected on the activity stating: “People in the local area have seen that we aren’t just a hospital but that we are part of the community. It has allowed the individuals at Cygnet Manor to feel included in the local community.
“It is important for individuals to have opportunity to engage in activities which positively contribute to their local community. These types of activities provide individuals with an opportunity to have pride in their actions and shows a strong sense of community spirit.”
