Outdoor cooking with Cygnet Sherwood Lodge’s Walking Group
Cygnet Sherwood Lodge’s Walking Group have been putting in the miles recently with a visit to a local nature reserve as well as a trip to Ladybower Reservoir in the Peak District. To add an extra element to their trips out they have purchased some outdoor cooking equipment, including a double stove, kettle, outdoor pans, mess trays and cutlery, to take with them.
So far the group have used the equipment to make hot dogs, noodles, cheese toasties, hot drinks and cuppa soups whilst out on long walks. The service users are also involved in the purchasing of the ingredients, cooking and cleaning down after the walk which everyone enjoys being part of.
