Cygnet Aspen Clinic holds fundraiser for their new feathered friends
Cygnet Aspen Clinic recently decided to welcome some new feathered friends, quails!
To bring this initiative to life, service users channelled their creativity and teamwork into a fundraiser that brought the service together for a great cause.
Service users spent time crafting unique resin keyrings, creating other handmade items, and baking a delightful assortment of cakes and buns to sell at the event, which was held on site at Cygnet Aspen Clinic.
The turnout was fantastic, and the support was overwhelming, with the fundraiser raising hundreds of pounds. These funds have now gone towards a comfortable hutch and supplies to ensure the quails are well cared for in their new home.
The quails are kept in Cygnet Aspen Clinic’s garden space so the service users can have consistent animal therapy on site, inclusive for those who may not have leave for community yet. The service users take responsibility for cleaning and feeding the quails, showing their ability to care and nurture for animals and commit to responsibilities.
